The Nation's premiere consignment sale and futurity is again in Kentucky for 2009. Mark April 17-20 on your calendars today, and attend The Futurity 2009 at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville. Centrally located in Louisville, Kentucky, this Showcase Sale and Futurity is simply one of the best events to promote your breeding program.
On-line registration opens October 25, 2009. Sale Entries will be evaluated on the basis of overall marketability. Approximately 35 suri alpacas and 50 huacaya alpacas will be accepted for the auction. (Final numbers may vary slightly at the discretion of sale management.)
Despite increased facility and vendor costs, we have done our best to
keep the total minimum cost of entry (Entry Fee + Minimum commission)
in check. We have however the changed the structure of these costs to
more closely match the timing of cash flow requirements in producing
the sale. Minimum commission on Females has been reduced to $1,250 from
$2,000 last year. Minimum commission on Males is $1,500, which is also
reduced from 2008. The Entry Fee for alpacas accepted in the auction is now $1,750. The sale will close when all sale slots have been filled, however no entries will be accepted after January 20, 2009. All applicants will be notified of entry acceptance status by January 24, 2009. Entry fees shall be paid by February 1, 2009.

The nation's benchmark auction is June 5, 2009 at the AOBA National Conference. For the first time ever, males will be eligible for the auction. Three Huacaya, and two Suri males will be selected by committee for this year's sale. Enter, edit and check status your entries, all on this website!
The entry fee is $1,250. Only ACCEPTED entries will be charged. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 3/1/2009. An early selection of ten lots to be used in auction promotion will be chosen on January 5, 2009. Final acceptance notifications will be EMAILED to applicants on or by March 6th.
Donation lot offerings must be submitted by 2/8/2009, and will be chosen, and donors notified on 2/14/2009. There is no entry fee for accepted donation and alpacas, and Celebrity Sales charges no commission on donated lots. THIS SALE IS OPEN ONLY TO CURRENT AOBA Farm MEMBERS. A commission of 10% will be charged on the final price bid on all lots. Minimum commission will be $2,000.
